ABOUT ME
My name is Elena Petrova, born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, but currently living in Aalborg Denmark. I recently finished my education as a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology and Construction Management at University College of Northern Denmark (more about the program).
I can describe myself as a hardworking and highly dedicated to the work I am performing. When coming across an unknown subject or task I haven’t done before, I take it rather as a challenge, than as an obstacle. During my education in Denmark, I have learned to work in groups, improving my communication skills and ability to cooperate.
I am a fast learner and easy adaptable to any new circumstances. Along my education as a construction architect I have proven to be good at finding alternative solutions when problems occur as well as coming up with innovative ideas.
One of my main focus areas is eco-friendly and energy efficient architecture due to my high concern for the environment. My keen knowledge in load bearing systems and fascination about nature inspired structures has developed my enthusiasm about organic architecture and structural efficiency achieved through natural geometries. Throughout the semester projects I was attempting to implement my personal interests in building information modeling, working with multiple computer programs. I have high computer competences and the ability to fast acquire new software skills. I have successfully received the Autodesk Revit 2013 Professional Certification.
